OUR HISTORY

The need to accelerate community health and wellbeing, to engage the community through dialogue and social mobilization, to call community to action in finding solutions to divergent health care and social need informed the formation and registration of Community Nursing Services (CNS). The CNS therefore envisions socially healthy and knowledgeable family units that are responsible for their own health and overall wellbeing.

The CNS activities are designed to reach out to the lowest level of the community, the household, where it all begins. Our strategy is designed to help the marginalized and remote communities identify gaps and resources needed to bridge the gaps. We form strong relationships with the community and other stakeholders, both duty bearers and right holders to improve the overall wellbeing of communities.

Our quality preventive health services reach out to remote villages and our programs that are built on social mobilization, advocacy and a right-based approach lead to sustainable health care and social development in the respective communities.
